Coloff Media News Leaders Recognized

Two of our dedicated news leaders were recently recognized for their news coverage in their communities by the Iowa Broadcast News Association.
“We are very proud of our team and the work they do providing unbiased, honest local news coverage our listeners and readers can trust,” said Jim Coloff, President of Coloff Media. “In a day and age when much information on-line can not be trusted, it is more important than ever that we continue to be the trusted local voices in our communities.”
Janelle Tucker, KMCH – Manchester – 94.7 FM, received 1st place in the Overall Excellence category. This is the top honor in overall news coverage for all radio stations in the state of Iowa. She also received 3rd place in General Reporting.

Luke Kies, KMAQ Radio – Maquoketa 95.1 FM, received 3rd place in the Public Affairs category. This is the first time Luke entered the contest and is a new team member of our Coloff Media news department.

Coloff presented checks to both of them as the company provided a cash incentive to contest winners. “It is important as a company we continue to provide a focus on local news and sports coverage. Too many other media have lost a focus on providing this necessary service to keep our listeners and readers informed on what is really going on in our communities.”
