Manchester, Iowa – The 9th Annual North Iowa Tractor Ride, presented by Auto Edge of Mason City and hosted by North Iowa Broadcasting, is rolling into the Field of Dreams this summer on their annual ride July 21st through the 23rd, 2016. The ride is a cooperative effort of 3 north Iowa radio stations, including 98.7 KISS Country in Mason City, 103.7 The Fox in Mason City, and 95.1 The Bull in New Hampton
The 2016 North Iowa Tractor Ride will kick off on Thursday, July 21st from The Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester, Iowa. Nearly 200 tractors are expected to roll out of the parking and camping area on Friday morning, July 22nd.
Tractors will be parked on the fairgrounds starting on Thursday, July 21st, and will be on public display starting at 6:00pm when the opening ceremony takes place. The ride will tour some of the most visited tourist sites in Eastern Iowa.
The ride starts Friday morning, July 22nd, in Manchester and will visit the Field of Dreams outside of Dyersville, Iowa, made famous by the movie of the same name. The tractors will travel through scenic Petersburg and Delhi, along with Earlville, Delaware and New Vienna, before returning to the fairgrounds in Manchester.
On Saturday, the ride will travel north to Strawberry Point, home of the world’s largest strawberry, and make its way through Backbone State Park, one of Iowa’s most scenic state parks. Riders will also visit Dundee and Lamont before returning to Manchester.
Riders will be able to visit some of the area’s tourist attractions, including the National Farm Toy Museum, the Basillica of Dyersville and the state fish hatchery.
